Hello Everyone!

I am thankful for the opportunity to introduce and share the ancient concepts of Harmonizing Energy with Jin Shin Jyutsu, to my community and home state of Mississippi.  I want to help others have a simple, safe way to release emotional and physical tensions to promote strong and confident  Wellness.  Including energy medicine into our routine is vital for providing a more rounded approach to the Art of Living and Healing.

My lessons in life did not come easy, yet they laid a foundation for learning, growing and helping others.  With each challenge--physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual, instead of a “band-aid” treatment, I went deeper into everything I could learn in my path to heal and excel. The core concepts I have learned are ‘A relaxed body is a healing body’ and ‘We are magnificently created’!  I aim to uplift and facilitate the self-discovery and self-healing already within you. And give you a simple way to participate in assisting your friends, family and your own well-being.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education followed by Master of Science, emphasis in Exercise Physiology completed in 1991 from Mississippi State University.

Realizing my gift for touch and a heartfelt desire to offer others a safe, effective way to address pain, injury and stress, I attended the Clinical Sports Massage Program at the Atlanta School of Massage in 1995.  Following graduation, I opened my private practice ‘Performance Massage Therapy’.

My journey with High Touch Jin Shin began in the late 90’s. At the time, I had no idea the impact these classes would have in my own life. As a Sports Massage Therapist, it was a great challenge for me to add the subtle touch of Jin Shin to my intense, deep tissue practice.

My confidence in  Jin Shin grew as I utilized the simple ‘Fingerholds’ and the     ‘Main Central Flow’ throughout the most challenging life circumstances. The use    of this gentle touch  lessened the effects of physical and psychological trauma    and fostered a compassion and willingness to let go and live a new life.

I began adding the Jin Shin “Quick Releases” during massage sessions, which creates a ‘still space’ for the receiver to relax and heal, allowing the session to be more effective.

In 2012, a life-altering allergic reaction left my body depleted and shutting down, so I delved even deeper into utilizing the profound healing of the self-care Jin Shin connections.  Everyday, I apply Jin Shin to rest, regenerate and to be centered and energized.

In 2018, I began attending classes in Jin Shin Jyutsu (the mother name of High Touch Jin Shin). I have completed three 5 day basics of  Jin Shin Jyutsu classes and this qualified me as a official Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner!  A dream come true.  And The Living the Art class allows me to be an official JSJ self-help teacher.  Yes, I began studies, practice, and sharing this valuable modality for over 20 years now.

A few years ago, I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life while holding energy site #7 with a dear friend who lay dying in the hospital. Within moments my friend departed.  Holding the 7s insures a peaceful passage and in that moment, a peaceful transition without fear.  It was a beautiful, humbling and even joyful experience.

Being convinced of its effectiveness, I apply the Jin Shin Jyutsu Flow Sequences or Quick Releases with all clients and observe a much deeper “letting go” than massage alone. A place without thought, as if time stands still. Ahh….  I call this space the “Bliss Zone” or as others say “Wow!”
